A chance to relax and enjoy multiple layers of folk influenced music in the wonderful setting of St Peter’s by the Waterfront, Ipswich.
The evening begins with Joelees music performing a selection of tracks from the duo’s evolving repertoire of vocals and acoustic guitars. The set will include a mix of original and covers to set the evening off in great style.
Holly D Johnston is known on the East Anglian Folk scene as a singer of stories and captivating performer. Her poetic lyrics woven together in memorable tunes are sung with a voice that is sometimes soft and ethereal and at other times strong and passionate. Holly gives audiences an intimate, thought provoking show, whether in a small folk club style or to large, sold out events. With multiple records released on independent label, Backwater Records, Holly's journey with all of its twists and turns can be heard in her music and felt in her singing.
The Silburys fusion of folk, acoustic and progressive rock always adds an edge of uniqueness to a gig. With a blend of covers and original music the four piece band will cover many musical genres but with a Silburys stamp of personality including flute, mandolin, guitar, bass and percussion. If you like folk infused with rock and rock music a little bit folky, The Silburys will hit the mark for you.
