Our very popular club night is back. This year we have assembled yet another wonderful line-up of some of the best jazz musicians in the UK all playing together in different combinations to make a long night of jazz.

Tina MayTina May

“Tina May remains the most expressive and technically gifted jazz singer on the UK Jazz scene” – wrote Kenny Mathieson in The Scotsman.

As a truly international artiste and lyricist, Tina continues to give performances in China, Australia, Singapore, the US – as well as Europe,  teaming up with musicians all around the world resulting in packed theatre and club performances in festivals worldwide.

Tina is renowned for her interpretations of the great jazz repertoire to which she often adds Francophile lyricism and a cinematic European twist…also adding a
touch of humour.

Enrico Tomasso

Enrico Tomasso

Enrico is a premier trumpeter on the jazz scene and has just won the British Jazz Awards for the 5th time. He plays the top festivals and jazz clubs around Europe, having an exciting presence and dynamic personality on stage, with his command of the instrument and stylistic invention placing him in the top echelon. His broad stylistic knowledge also makes him first call for period jazz styles in the studio. He met and was mentored by Louis Armstrong as a child and met and played with many more of the ‘Jazz Maestros’ on his journey.

Mark LockheartMark Lockheart

Mark first came to prominence in the mid 1980s with the influential big band Loose Tubes. In 1992 Mark formed the eclectic co-led quartet Perfect Houseplants, a group that released six albums. Since then he has continued to compose and play on a stream of leading edge jazz albums. In 2016 Mark was awarded Jazz FM
Instrumentalist of the Year and also nominated for the British Composer Awards for his composition With One Voice. Most recently Mark has just completed a major jazz/orchestral work titled Days On Earth for jazz sextet and 30-piece orchestra.

Pascoal. Alongside performing as a side man in various ensembles. Owen also runs his own band Big Bad Wolf who released their debut album ‘Pond Life’ in 2017 to critical acclaim.
