October 2007 Update

Observant passers by will have seen the notice on the front gates of the Church detailing, listed building consent lodged for changes to the south porch, where we will see a new pair of gates designed by local artist Paul Richardson. The internal sound/lighting systems also require listed building consent.

Work is moving on apace although there is still much scaffolding in place we can see that work is progressing on plaster work, main windows and cleaning the high ceiling/roof. We are hoping some replastering will commence next week, and also some of the window lights will be returned from the repairers.

The work on converting the vestry to toilets and office has commenced.

We are holding regular site meetings with the contractor, and keeping delays to a minimum.

We hope we will be in a position to move some scaffolding by Christmas.

We are still on target to see this fantastic venue open in the spring.
