November 2007 Update

There are now only 16 weeks left on the original contract. The first coat plaster works have now dried out, and second coat plaster repairs have begun, except for the areas which have been affected by beetle damage namely the south aisle roof and tower , these will be dealt with soon. The decorators will work directly behind the plasterers so we can regain maximum time lost in the short delay of last month

Electrical first fixing is now evident. The fire alarm is also being upgraded.

The stud work in the vestry is being plastered , and next month may see the fitting of porcelains.

Most of the external masonry has been completed and some of the external scaffolding will be struck soon.

Repaired sections of glass are expected next week.

The south porch gates are finished, and listed building consent has been obtained for them and the internal sound and light system.

We are still on course for a spring opening, and Bernard and myself will be working on this, and also discussing with the marketing group , the purchase of chairs, stage extension and other equipment.
